Why Work With Us

A Broker That
Knows Marine

If you haul boats, you know the difference between a broker who understands marine transport and one who doesn't. Bad load info, wrong equipment expectations, and permit surprises cost you time and money.

Weiskopf Marine Logistics is built specifically for this industry. We know what a vessel needs to move safely, we communicate clearly, and we pay on time. That's the foundation of every carrier relationship we build.

We're not a load board and we're not a volume-first operation. We work with a focused network of qualified carriers and prioritize long-term partnerships over one-time transactions.

Benefits of the
Network

Consistent Load Volume

We move marine freight year-round across all 48 states. Carriers in our network get regular load opportunities — not just one-off moves.

Fast, Clear Communication

No chasing down load details. We provide complete shipment info upfront — pickup location, delivery address, vessel specs, and timeline — before you commit.

Competitive Pay

We negotiate fair rates and pay on time. Our carriers know what to expect and don't have to fight for what they've earned.

Marine-Specific Loads

If you specialize in marine transport, you'll fit right in. Our loads are matched to carriers with the right equipment and experience — no mismatches.

Long-Term Relationships

We're not a load board. We build real working relationships with our carriers and prioritize partners who deliver consistently.

Streamlined Paperwork

We handle the broker side of documentation so you can focus on the transport. Rate confirmations, BOLs, and payment are handled efficiently.

What We Require

Carrier
Requirements

We vet every carrier before adding them to our network. These aren't arbitrary hoops — they're the baseline that protects our customers' vessels and your reputation on the road.

  • Active MC authority with a satisfactory safety rating
  • Marine-specific cargo insurance (minimum $100,000)
  • Proper equipment for vessel transport — marine trailers, cradles, or step-deck with blocking
  • Experience transporting boats, vessels, or oversize marine equipment
  • Willingness to provide references from prior marine transport jobs
  • Compliance with all state oversize/overweight permit requirements
Common Questions

FAQ

What types of loads do you broker?

Primarily recreational boats, yachts, sailboats, pontoons, PWC, and commercial vessels. We also handle marine equipment and oversize loads that require special permitting.

Do I need marine-specific equipment to work with you?

Yes. We require carriers to have appropriate equipment for vessel transport — marine trailers, proper cradles, or flatbed/step-deck with marine blocking capability. General freight equipment typically doesn't qualify.

How do I get added to your carrier network?

Fill out the carrier interest form below or call us directly. We'll review your authority, insurance, and equipment, then reach out to discuss load opportunities in your lanes.

How quickly do you pay?

We process carrier payments promptly after delivery confirmation and receipt of required documentation. Payment terms are outlined clearly in every rate confirmation.

Do you work with owner-operators?

Yes. We work with both owner-operators and small fleets. What matters is your equipment, insurance, and track record — not your fleet size.
